About AskIt! for IB
“Everything you always wanted to know about IB but that MVSD officials wouldn’t tell you…”
This is an AskIt! website for your questions about all aspects of the UN’s “International Baccalaureate” program as it is implemented in the Merrimack Valley School District, New Hampshire.
Contrary to what you have heard from school department officials about who instigated the investigation of this program, here are the facts:
1) IB was challenged in 2009 at MVSD after WE, as PARENTS AND TEACHERS from the MVSD, approached researchers to find out how we could inform others about what was about to happen in our schools without risking our childrens’ safety or our job security. These researchers come from NH as well as other states.
2) None of the information provided to the MV school district officials was shared with the public. Information sent was kept among the school officials, and the Concord Monitor even claimed in private emails that the IB program did not cost anything, or at least, with the excuse that it could ‘not be proven’ that it cost anything.
Please use the Register link on the bottom of the right hand menu to sign up using a valid email. Then you may log into your Dashboard to begin posting questions.
Please select Add New and before entering your post, select the box near the category which best reflects the subject to which your question is most likely to apply. There is also a category for announcements regarding IB meetings and activism.
Your post will be published after approval. One of our researchers will answer your question in the comments section under your post.
Added Note: Is your school NOT an IB school? That’s OK.. follow what is posted here. You may recognize some of the very same things going on in your school under the guise of ‘reform’ or ‘progressive’ education even without the use of the IB program. The federal government loves to interfere and award money that goes to bigtime educational snake-oil salesmen (consultants) who will come in and recommend these supposed ‘best practices’ for your child’s school — all just as bogus, all just as poisonous and all with the same goal — social change.

Notable stat: Since TAIB began tracking U.S. IB schools in March of 2009, IB has LOST 38 DP, 37 MYP and 25 PYP or 100 schools which dropped IB. For every 3.5 new IB schools authorized, 1 chooses to drop IB. This number is not insignificant.
The administrators of and contributors to this website are experienced researchers and teachers, and taxpayers and parents, who have a combined number of approximately 10 years of research on the IB programme. Some of us have been in IB classrooms and thus have access to student materials, teacher manuals, and correspondence between IB officials and school officials. What you see here is but a fraction of the materials we are about to release in the near future.
Note: Due to increased spam we have turned off user registration. If you would like to post a comment or article please send the email you would like to use and the username to help@mvsd-ib.org
“Education should aim at destroying free will so that after pupils are thus schooled they will be incapable throughout the rest of their lives of thinking or acting otherwise than as their school masters would have wished… The social psychologist of the future will have a number of classes of school children on whom they will try different methods of producing an unshakable conviction that snow is black. When the technique has been perfected, every government that has been in charge of education for more than one generation will be able to control its subjects securely without need of armies or policeman.” ~ Johann Gotlieb Fichle
